My favorite way to eat olives is as a topping for pizza. I also enjoy baking plantains when they are ripe in the oven... kind of like a lasagna except layering with ripe (yellow) plantains instead of lasagna noodles. I do the plantains, ground meat, and add olives in there. Sounds great but it's super tasty. My son loves it too but my daughter complains it's an acquired taste. :)

Want to make dinner time fun for toddlers, using olives? Whip up some spaghetti, toss in olive oil infused with garlic and a splash of lemon juice. Slice off the bottom part of the olives so you have two holes on both ends of the olive. Toss them in. My son loves threading the spaghetti through the olive and making a necklace out of it. Makes great fine motor skills practice. And tastes yummy, too!

I love them in my enchiladas. I mix diced ones with the cheese to go inside the tortillas, and then I put some sliced ones on top to make it all look yummy.

My daughter LOVES olives. In fact, we're sad we didn't name her "Olive"!

We took her to France (her grandmother lives in Paris) six years ago when she was not quite 3. At the farmers markets in Paris as well as Provence, the vendors could not believe that a girl so young enjoyed tapenade so much!

To this day, she eats as many olives as she can get her hands on. Today for her school lunch I made her a bento of an herb turkey wrap, carrot sticks, sliced cheddar cheese, olives, and organic thin mint cookies. She was pleased as punch when she saw what I was packing.

And, for what it's worth, this girl's favorite way of eating California Black Ripe Olives is by slipping a finger into each olive hole so they sit atop them like little black heads. Then she pops them in her mouth and asks for more!

We love making our own pizzas and black olives are a must for toppings

I love eating olives right out of the jar! Yum! Once polished of half a jar while watching a movie with my kids!

We all love eating olives right out of the can. The other night my son said they were as good as dessert!

I still love to put olives on my fingers & eat one at a time :) they're also great as a topping to Mexican dishes, or mixed with cream cheese & used as a dip. Very good for you.

I actually haven't tried an olive in forever (but would give them another shot!) but my hubby and kids like them! We'd love to win!
