I got my face shapes ready...I found the wiggly mouth shape from a set of popsicle tools from Williams Sonoma. I knew instantly it was meant for a jack-o-lantern grin. Can't you envision the menacing face they will make?
Ooh, I was reveling in the delicious

And then the shapes in action:
Um, yeah. Fail.
It's not scary at all!
In fact Paige squeeled, "oh my! This jackawantern looks nervous! Aw, poor little guy."
Sigh. Bento box contents:
- peanut butter and jelwee sandwich on whole wheat bread
- a couple perfect strawberries
- homemade pickles in a pumpkin shaped silicone cup
- cheddar cheese cat heads
- pretzel sticks
- almonds
- grapes
- a couple Hello Panda cookies
- I think that's it, but this is a lot of food to remember. :p
I drew a freaky cat face on the top piece of cheddar cheese using food safe markers (I realized after that the kitty's nose was upside down). Fail again (haha). :)

I think... maybe, if you turn the wiggley line for the mouth upside down it'd be scarier, but I like it how it is - you put a lot more effort in than my mum did! xx
The mouth, you think? I was thinking I didn't slant the eyes enough - I ran out of space to do it since the pumpkin is so narrow. Ah well, that's what I get for trying to scare a child with her lunch. LOL :)
I think it's the slant of the eyes too. But, it' also a sandwich. Those are pretty hard to make scary, especially to what appears to be a very smart little girl. :)
i agree with the above turn the mouth upside down so its not smiling sort of. and make the eyes a little more slanted and use something to make angery eye brows! jackie t!
Cute! Where is the face cutter from? :)
Christy, the triangle eye is from a set of cutters I mentioned in the "smiley pumpkin" post and the wiggly mouth is from a set of Zoku popsicle maker cutters.
