not-so-spooky PlanetBox snack lunch

On a weekend day of running around Ethan took along this PlanetBox lunchy snack. He munched on it throughout the afternoon.

Planetbox Halloween

In the large section is a Big Dipper full of chopped strawberries and kiwi fruit. The lower side compartment holds a mini cheesecake "cupcake" and a mini granola bite. The upper side section holds a Little Dipper of dry roasted peanuts (taboo at school!) and a Babybell cheese. The long top section has a bounty of carrots and the tiny middle treat section holds an icing spider.

The mini cheesecake cupcake was a bit of a disaster. I tried to make a spider web out of chocolate sauce on top, but it didn't turn out like the vision I had in my imagination at all! What a mess it was! I sort of slowly drizzled it on by toothpick... tedious and just not a good thing at all. It thrilled Ethan though, which is all that counts I guess. :) And it gives the icing spiders a place to call home. ;-)

I also experienced an epic fail when I attempted to carve a freehand spider into the Babybell wax coating. So I flipped it over and stuck a Halloween sticker on it instead. So much easier. :)

So, how did he carry it around as you ran your errands? I am curious because I have two little guys who seem to like to snack while we are out going store to store.

It is not my favorite for errand running. ;-) It performs GREAT sitting on a table, but it's not suited for balancing on a lap while driving around and it's definitely too awkward to walk around with.
I frequently use EasyLunchboxes while out and about and that works better for errand running. The way the compartments jut out on the bottom make for nice hand-holds.

That spiderweb looks far from a disaster - it's really impressive, no wonder he loved it! Too funny about the cheese - stickers work wonders, don't they?
Oh, I wanted to ask about the PlanetBox - how big is it? I've been eyeballing them, but can't seem to get a handle on how much food they hold from the descriptions/dimensions. Is it a lot? How would it hold to an average adult lunch? Average kid lunch?

That fruit salad looks wonderful! I'm thinking of giving a Planet Lunchbox a try - Laptop Lunches as well. So many goodies, not enough time (or money) to try them all! :)

Thanks everyone! :)

Stretching My Imagination - the PlanetBox is a really generous size. I think it would hold plenty for an average adult lunch. The large section holds a full sized sandwich, and the other sections are nice for fruit, veggie and crunchy sides!
