Top row:
- sand pail
- fishy crackers
- octopus shaped hot dog
Bottom row:
- strawberries (I figure if Sponge Bob can have a pineapple under the sea, we can have strawberries!)
- lobster quesadilla
- fish shaped hard boiled egg
The lowlights:
The bottom row occupants! All of them!
The lobster cookie cutter I used is from a set of Williams Sonoma cutters I got a few years ago. It's super adorable, but it has very blunt edges that are not ideal for cutting through a crispy tortilla.
The boiled egg didn't fully form in the mold and then a fishy cracker totally jumped ship and remained undetected until I was loading these pictures! I guess a stowaway does still lend itself to the theme, somewhat...
And the strawberries? So uninspired! I had a cute idea for that muffin spot, but forgot to pick something up at the grocery store that I needed to pull it off. Maybe next time!
The highlights:

This cute little sandpail! The bucket is a mini cup that is from a bento shop. I filled it with vanilla yogurt and topped that with graham cracker crumbs.

Cute little octodog! I've made these before, but this is my favorite one yet. :) I continue to have a tricky time getting all 8 legs cut, this one only has six. I kinda started to understand why someone would want to have that little octodog cutting tool
(JList link) for easy tentacle making, until I realized after looking it up that it only makes 6 legs too! LOL
As always, you can go to the official Muffin Tin Monday site to see other muffin tin meals. Next week the scheduled themes begin again, starting with "alphabet/ABC". Hope to see you there! :)

Oh I love it, you are so imaginative! I'm going to have to get some egg moulds, they look so much fun.
I am eating by the sea today too. I love the lobster.
Would you so kindly tell where to get the "sandpail" ?
I LOVE this cute idea
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the pail!!! Great theme. :)
Cute! Love the theme!
awesome.. thanks for sharing. I tried making the octodogs today and it was a huge hit.
I did an ocean theme too, hope you don't mind I linked to this in my post! I neeeed a tiny little pail like that!
Despite the troubles it still looks amazing!! The lobster is so cute! And the sandy pail!!! All of it is an awesome meal :D
Saw it on foodgawker.com . If I were a hot dog eater I'd prefer to eat it shaped like seafood. Super cute :)
you are so talented. even what you call "lowlights" are still awesome to me!
so great to have you join in.
Loving the lobster but most of all the bucket of sand... Genius!! Awesome tin!
I made an octodog for my preschooler today and after I cut the legs, I sat it on a plate with the legs straight out from the body (sitting upright) and microwaved it for just under a minute. The legs curled really well, and I didn't have to resort to deep frying it! It was fast too, which helps when your 3 year old is "soooooo hungwy mummy!"
How do you send these to school?
Anonymous (#13) - Our muffin tin meals do not go to school. These are made just for fun home lunches/snacks/meals. :)
