that bento's blue,
Sassy box lunches for me and you!
Sorry. I couldn't help myself. ;) They are not for me and you, but they were for my son and daughter. :)
Preschool lunch...

My girl had roll-ups of deli meat - turkey, ham, bologna (hey! it was Boar's Head at least!) and cheese - havarti, swiss and provolone. On the right side she has strawberries and SunChips.
It would have been fun to cut the roll-ups into smaller pieces and skewer onto cute picks, but I can't send those to preschool.
2nd grader lunch...

On the left side he has a cereal bar in the dish at the top, Wheat Thins with cream cheese, and a granola bar. On the right side he has strawberries and a little dish of jello (made in a spare Sassy box dish).
Along with a heaping side of shadows! ;) I apologize for the shadows. They were terrible this morning. I would have ducked outside for a quick photo but it started sprinkling!

Looks yummy! Are you a scrapbooker? I have that same paper!
I used to scrapbook a lot before I moved four years ago. I haven't ever even unpacked my scrapbooking supplies! (gasp!)
I have to say though that your layouts have inspired me to get back into it. :) First, I need a kid-free-zone to call my own. Those areas are hard to find in these parts.
This paper was from some huge tablet of paper I got as a gift a couple years ago which is the only reason it's not packed away too. I had it in my kiddie art cabinet. I'm running out of paper options though and think I need to break out some of my old paper stash. It's probably all pretty vintage at this point. ;-)
crazy, i read on another blog today of one of my friends. she was saying her child asks for fruit leather. had no clue what it was. ironic that i stumbled upon this blog and saw your photo of it.
love how pretty your food looks.
I just wanted to comment to say how much I enjoy your blog! I can't wait till my just-turned one-year-old is big enough to really enjoy a Bento-style lunch. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Heidi and Liz! :)
