On the left is a half sandwich and Goldfish crackers.
On the right is a dish of small purple grapes, cheddar cheese pieces and a piece of apple with a heart shape cut from the peel.
I'm MUCH happier with how this apple turned out than the last one I posted. Whew. A bit of redemption there! :) This is a pink lady apple. I'm not really taken by the taste or crunch-factor of them, but they don't brown! Cool, huh? To make the heart I used a tiny cookie cutter with a sharp edge, gently pressed it through the peel, and then using a paring knife I cut away the peel. Cute!

I love the heart sandwich & apple! how sweet. :)
Cute! Just FYI, I found the Sassy on the Go containers at my Target today! Score!
The apple is the cutest! I found you by way of Food For The Boys and am SO glad I did! Do the Sassy boxes leak when traveling? I'm trying to plan ahead for what my guy can take when he starts full day pre-school that won't get everything all "yucked up" if he tips it at all (which he wil).
Love the heart motifs combined with little golden goldfish--that's adorable!
Thanks Susan B. and bentobird! :)
Planet Pink - that's great to know! I haven't seen them there, actually I don't think I've ever seen any Sassy feeding items there (like baby spoons and whatnot) but maybe they will be a new item. I'll be keeping an eye peeled for sure.
Greetings Karen! I'm glad you found me too! :)
I haven't had an issue with the Sassy box leaking. However, my daughter's lunchbox allows her bento boxes to sit flat, not up on the side - so that might help. But the inner box lids are very tight fitting. I don't think any heavy liquids, like yogurt or cottage cheese woud leak, but things like juice from canned fruit or watery applesauce might. The Sassy box is dishwasher safe, but if you plan to use the inner boxes for potentially-leaky things I would recomment you don't put the inner pieces in the dishwasher. My inner dishes have warped ever so slightly from that and the lids do not fit as tightly as they once did. It's not a big deal for me since I don't use the inner boxes that often, or when I do it's just to make sure things like grapes don't jump out of their proper spot. :)
Thanks, Melissa! I think I'll look into getting some. I'm expecting his lunchtote to arrive any day now (I'm an ebay-aholic) and I believe it'll be big enough on the bottom to have thing stay flat ... but boys will be boys :)
